Considering some Euro Amber tails for the wife's B6 Passat wagon. I dig em.

Always go amber.

Well, that depends on where you live I'd imagine. If you're in the US, DOT laws might mean that they're illegal.
Those pesky laws haven't stopped all sorts of people from changing their headlights or taillights to something that isn't DOT legal though.

AMBER ALERT:
They look perty!

Amber all the way.

I like amber turn signals. I swapped 09 tail lights onto my 08 Civic to get rid of the red blinkers.

If they're the same brightness, I don't think anyone at the shop where it gets inspected will even notice. However, they are expensive. $350 for a set.

They look cool, but seems like a 'grass is greener' mod to me. $500 APR chip for $150 more ;)

HA! This post could have been written by myself - I've wanted to do the same thing since we got our wagon.
In Canada they're legal AFAIK, just need to make sure you have vagcom - or a friend who can help - to program them to work properly. I believe the computer blinks them differently from the red signal lights, and you don't want the amber coming on when you're braking.

I like euro lights for VWs, too.
And I still don't understand why we are denied the almighty "euroswitch" in our cars! Yes, I might actually like to have the headlights TURN OFF at some point. It's the dumbest thing.

If it don't show the colour when they're not on, i'd say do it... Not a big fan of amber, but LEDs could make up for this

They're LEDs. I like amber, myself...
